Sam Eshrati is a Venture Partner at Andromeda Ventures, where he connects Europe's innovation ecosystem with the firm's global investment platform. Leveraging deep relationships across venture capital, entrepreneurship, industry, and government, he helps identify emerging opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and support founders developing transformative technologies. With more than 15 years of experience spanning operating leadership, venture investing, and ecosystem development, Sam has built a strong track record of helping high-growth companies scale, access capital, and expand into new markets.
Most notably, Sam served as COO and Chief Engagement Officer of TechBBQ, where he helped transform the organization from a small early-stage team into one of Europe’s leading founder-first platforms. During his tenure, TechBBQ scaled from 4 to more than 30 employees, grew its annual budget from approximately €800,000 to over €5 million, and expanded attendance from 4,000 to more than 10,000 participants annually, connecting more than 1,000 startups with 1,000+ venture investors each year. Earlier in his career, Sam also held senior operating roles at one of London’s fastest-growing companies, helping scale the organization from 20 to more than 200 employees while overseeing P&L management, operational expansion, and organizational growth.
Alongside his operating experience, Sam is an active investor and venture partner within the European innovation ecosystem. He serves as a Venture Partner at Identity VC and as an Angel Investor and Scout with ADA VC, investing directly and through syndicates in leading Nordic founders. He is also a Founding Member of Nordic Angels, an initiative dedicated to strengthening angel investing and improving capital access across the Nordic startup landscape. His sector expertise includes sustainability, digital sovereignty, biotechnology and health, deep technology, and emerging technologies.
Sam has been published in and featured by outlets including Forbes, SKY, TechEU, and Grit Daily, and is a frequent speaker at leading venture and innovation forums. He has completed venture and finance programs at UC Berkeley Haas and Oxford Saïd Business School and holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
