Richard Schnuerer serves as Chief Financial Officer to Andromeda Ventures through Starrlight Advisory, bringing nearly two decades of private markets finance, operations, and compliance experience across venture capital, growth equity, private equity, credit, hedge funds, and SBICs.

Richard is the Founder of Starrlight Advisory, which oversees approximately $11 billion in assets under advisement. He has served as CFO and CCO to investment managers across multiple private-market strategies, with extensive expertise in fund finance, operations, reporting, treasury, and governance.

Previously, Richard served as an institutional LP within Merrill Lynch’s Chief Investment Office, where he conducted business and operational due diligence on alternative investment managers, evaluating more than 60 GPs and 100 private funds. His experience on both the GP and LP sides of private markets gives him a distinctive perspective on the financial controls, reporting standards, and fund infrastructure sophisticated investors expect.

Richard began his career in professional services, including roles with Deloitte and KPMG focused on investment management and banking clients in New York and London. He holds BSBA degrees in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Ohio.
