Dr. Omar Hatamleh is an Advisor to Andromeda Ventures and a globally recognized thought leader in Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and mission-driven technology transformation. With more than 29 years at NASA, he brings rare depth at the intersection of advanced AI, government-scale systems, and real-world mission execution—experience that directly informs Andromeda Ventures’ focus on dual-use and frontier technologies.

Having recently retired from NASA, Dr. Hatamleh most recently served as the first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, the largest community of scientists and engineers in the United States. In this role, he led the development and execution of NASA’s AI strategy, identifying, validating, and integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities to support complex scientific, engineering, and national mission objectives. Previously, as Chief Advisor for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at Goddard, he played a central role in translating emerging technologies into operational advantage across NASA programs.

Dr. Hatamleh has also held senior leadership positions including Chief Innovation Officer for Engineering at NASA Johnson Space Center and Executive Director of the Space Studies Program at the International Space University, where he helped shape the next generation of global space and technology leaders. He is currently an extraordinary professor at Collegio Libre de Eméritos in Spain.

At Andromeda Ventures, Dr. Hatamleh advises on AI strategy, technology readiness, and innovation pathways, helping the firm evaluate where advanced capabilities move from research to scalable, mission-critical deployment. A prolific author and academic, Dr. Hatamleh has published more than 33 international peer-reviewed journal articles in engineering, with over 1,400 citations. His contributions have been recognized with multiple NASA honors, including the Silver Achievement Medal, the NASA Innovation Award, and the Superior Achievement Award.

Dr. Hatamleh is widely regarded as one of the Top 100 Global Thought Leaders in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation. He is a frequent keynote speaker at global forums including the G20, the United Nations, and leading technology companies such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, Dell, and others. He has been featured in major international media outlets including CNN, Forbes, ABC, El Mundo, and El País. He holds four engineering degrees and is fluent in four languages.
