David Greenberg is an Advisor to Andromeda Ventures and a veteran financial executive, investor, and strategic advisor with more than 30 years of experience across commodities, capital markets, and corporate governance. He is widely recognized for his leadership during pivotal periods of transformation in global trading and exchange modernization.
David served for many years as an Executive Board Member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and a Board Member of the COMEX Exchange, where he played a key role in guiding the exchange through significant expansion, modernization, and its eventual IPO and merger with CME Group. He was deeply involved in strengthening financial oversight, governance, and risk systems, and helped extend NYMEX’s global footprint, including participation in the establishment of the Dubai Mercantile Exchange.
In parallel, David served for two decades as President of Sterling Commodities, where he built and led a leading independent clearing firm on NYMEX and COMEX, overseeing risk management, compliance, and client asset protection through periods of extreme market volatility. His career combines hands-on trading experience with board-level leadership, shaping a disciplined, decision-oriented approach to strategy and risk.
David is the founder of Greenberg Capital, an advisory and investment firm providing strategic guidance on capital markets, governance, risk management, and cross-border growth to corporations, family offices, and institutional investors. He has served as an advisor and board member to a range of organizations across finance, sports, and technology, and is a frequent guest lecturer at leading academic institutions. David has also been a trusted media commentator for outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times during major global market events.
